Happy Saturday! It's time for a #favoritenonfiction rec and this week I am featuring Finding Me by Viola Davis! ⬛️ ⬛️ ⬛️ On February 5th, Viola Davis became the 18th EGOT winner, meaning she won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. This is an incredible feat that few have achieved and Davis is only the third Black woman to do so, following Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Hudson. Having just finished listening to her memoir a few days before she reached this achievement, I knew I needed to get her book on the recommendation list ASAP! She does not hold back in recounting the experiences that have shaped the person she is today and my admiration and respect for her grew with every story she told. The amount of trauma she has experienced is astounding, but her strength and perseverance is endless. I truly think this book is one you must experience for yourself, and I cannot recommend the audiobook highly enough! ⬛️ ⬛️ ⬛️ Content warnings--The StoryGraph has an excellent content warning section on the page for each book! I recommend you check out the link below if you are concerned about content based on the description above, or are worried about the potential for a trigger that may be in this book. https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/072f4dd3-2615-4afe-ae5a-6aa2c94df5b5
