Today, I am featuring The Island by Adrian McKinty! 🏝 When it comes to suspenseful books, I am picky about "locked rooms" types of mysteries, likely thanks to my obsession with And Then There Were None. However, I've always been drawn to "trapped on an island" books, so when I saw that Adrian McKinty was releasing a new book with that setting, I knew I had to pick it up! The book wastes no time jumping into the suspense and intensity--by the time I was around 125 pages into the book, I had NO idea how it could continue on, let alone for another 250 pages! I should never have doubted it because I was totally invested the whole time. If you liked Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins, Never Coming Home by Kate Williams, or Every Vow You Break by Peter Swanson, this could be a great read for you!
