The last two books I completed; highly recommend “After Alice” if you, like me, reside in the more northern parts of the world and need something of a pick me up in the form of a gossipy summer in Oxford. The cherry on top is that the writing style is similar to Carroll’s, but with more drama 🏼 Strange Practice is a charming take on the “occult/paranormal as normal”, and is an incredibly easy read that has a voice comfortably YA. I also always have to give kudos when common spooky creatures/mythology are given a fresh new face by normalizing them/putting them in modern situations.
