The Great Mouse Detective was one of my favorite movies growing up and I had no idea it was inspired by a book series (and not just Sherlock Holmes). They did a reprint of the series in 2016 but I really wanted to read the original copy if possible because the art style changes. Fast forward to today and I just picked this up from the library! The copyright is 1958 and it looks like the library has had it since 1980! So excited! Do you guys have any favorite childhood movies based on books?
