June wrap-up! The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi: wonderful writing, great story, I loved the characters. The Priory of the Orange Tree: at 804 pages, one of the longest books I’ve ever read. If @dianabheiland hadn’t suggested a buddy read, I probably wouldn’t have attempted or stuck with this book. But it’s a good one. Howl’s Moving Castle: a reread of one of my favorites. The Left-Handed Booksellers of London: what a delightful book! Laughed out loud, really loved a couple passages, and can’t wait to read book 2. Thanks to @thewintersings for recommending! The Assassin’s Blade and Throne of Glass: the first two books of Throne of Glass series, my summer series—I’m loving these books, and the main character. Can’t wait to start book three. Pride and Prejudice: over the last 14 months I’ve read 1-3 chapters every couple of weeks along with the podcast Live from Pemberley. Diving into the text and learning more about the world in Jane Austen’s time was incredible. And who doesn’t love Pride and Prejudice? Always glad for a chance to reread. Longbourn: now that the podcast is finished with Pride and Prejudice proper, they’re taking a look at some adaptations, and Longbourn is first up. It’s written from the servants’ POV and it was a good read.
