So I had this epiphany that instead of the 12 days of Christmas, we should do a 12 days of Bookmas where we share our favorite books that don't get nearly the amount of hype they deserve. With that, I present to you the first day of Bookmas - the Ranger's Apprentice series! Everyone has that book or series that hooked them on reading and this is mine; I've been reading these for over half my life, but I don't think I've ever seen it recommended anywhere and I honestly have no idea why. They're incredibly well written, the plots are fantastic, the character progression is amazing... basically, they're *chef's kiss* perfect. They're written for a younger audience, but even as an adult I can't find any fault with them. This is comfort reading at its finest - I feel like I grew up with these characters and learned life lessons with them. I was so obsessed with them that I took up archery when I was younger and still do it to this day. As nerdy as it sounds, one of my favorite things to do is go practice in the woods and pretend I'm shooting alongside the characters because they really are like old friends. Literally the *only* thing I dislike about them is that they came out in 3 different cover editions and I somehow ended up with all 3 of them so they look truly hideous on my shelf ☠️ Other than that, this is arguably my favorite series EVER and I highly, highly recommend them!
