I picked up this graphic novel on a whim from the library and I’m so glad I did! It follows a Japanese American as she moves to Japan to reconnect to her culture and learn Japanese, as well as the other students staying in her house - one from Singapore, and one from Korea. It’s got themes of young adulthood and trying to figure out what you want with your life, as well as topics of home and identity as an immigrant- and as one returning to a home they barely remember. It had a nice relaxing slice of life feel, as well as being emotional and sweet and sometime even sad, and the art is so, so good. 10/10 would recommend.
