Not book related but I’m just so proud of my company for this…and we are giving away 20 signed books after the event. My anxiety is sky high today as I gear up for another national Able event (Liberty Mutual’s employee resource group for disabled employees and allies). I’ll be a panelist as we present a screening of “In a Different Key” which is an amazing documentary about the first person ever diagnosed with autism…and what his community got right in enabling him to live a full and accepted life. On the panel will also be Amy Gravino, an autistic relationship expert, who I’m a huge fan of. This is why I decided to be “out and proud” with my diagnosis. Children & families need to see us proudly owning & embracing who we are, label and all. My work as a National co-chair of Liberty’s Neurodiversity Advisory Group is one of the things I’m the most proud of in my professional life. #actuallyautistic #autisticwomen
